Gift Wrap 101: Super Easy Shabby Chic Country Wedding Gift Basket

With vintage, shabby chic weddings all the rage, we wanted to show you a super easy way to put together a shabby chic country gift basket that is sure to be a hit! This project is inexpensive and only needs a few items that can be found at your local dollar or craft store…
You’ll need:
Apple Bushel Basket … search your local thrift store to see if you can find a hidden gem (like the one above for 99 cents) or purchase online from Hobby Lobby ($7.99).
Faux Flowers and Natural Paper Shreds … find colors to coordinate with the wedding you are attending, pick a few up at your local Dollar Store.
Coordinating Wrapping Paper … for gifts
Heart Shaped Cookie Cutter … we chose the pink soft handled version from Wilton, $2.99 at Department and Craft Stores
Add some paper shreds to the bottom of the basket and then fill with your selected gifts. Add faux flowers around center gifts, address card vertically and add the heart shaped cookie cutter to the front (stuffing in a few shreds at the end to complete).
Gift ideas include:
Personalized Gifts … we love the high quality selections from UnCommon Goods and Red Envelope or search Etsy for unique finds!
Marriage Builder Books like The Story (Christian–religious) or The Relationship Cure (secular)
Shabby Chic Tote Bag for honeymoon or collecting all those wedding gifts! like this new design by Vera Bradley or monogram a patterned tote from Land’s End (fold tote to fit in basket)
We are also loving this gift basket for upcoming Mother’s Day! Insert fresh cut flowers in a new set of spring patterned cups and fill with sweet treats, jewelry or handmade kid’s artwork!
