We recently had the chance to experience PlanToys® for ourselves with models Stacking Bear (5622) and Playhouse (7600) and they did not disappoint!
The Stacking Bear (5622)… is adorable! Created for children 18 m+ (clearly marked on the packaging), the brightly colored rainbow rings are rich with color which make it hard to believe its created using organic color pigment with water-based dyes. Perfect for little hands, the pieces are easy to clutch and are made with reclaimed, non chemical, kiln-dried rubberwood, safe dyes and non-toxic glues. All of the pieces feel very substantial, suitable for multi-generational use. This bear cleverly hides it’s vast amount of educational value including color recognition, shapes (each layer has a different shape), motor skills (stacking each layer in it’s grooved shape), math skills, problem solving and imagination! That’s a lot of punch in a toy that only retails for $24.99.
The Playhouse (7600)… With only 5 main structure pieces (plus a handle and fabric cover), this house is very easy to assemble with a few screws. For children 3 and above, it is great for creating social communication between parents and children. The playhouse includes a girl and boy doll (that can both sit and stand with a twist), thirteen pieces of furniture (made from the same sustainable rubberwood and recycled materials) and double sided fabric play mat. The wooden dowel handle makes the compact playhouse portable.
